With RNSA Login, you can make learners and SPs skip their dashboard view and land on the data entry page of the activity immediately , right after they have logged in to the system on a manually authorized workstation.
A manually authorized workstation is a computer located in a simulation room that is dedicated assigned to the room's Running Non-Scheduled Activity (RNSA)booked in the simulation room where the computer is located.

RNSA Login is also needed when you want to control recording with the video start and stop conditions available in Activities.

Set up RNSA Login

(lightbulb)Set up authorized workstations in rooms where there is a Running-Non Scheduled Activity (RNSA) booked. 
There are three kinds of workstations you can use: In-room, Hallway, or Additional stations. For details about each station type, click here.

  1. Go to System
  2. Go to Stations
  3. Add the computer to the system by clicking Add This Computer
  4. Name your computer workstation (mandatory)
  5. Select at least one type of station. 
    (tick) Select (lightbulb)Select all of the types so you can set up the computer as any kind of workstation later on.
  6. Click Save

  1. Stay in System and switch to Rooms
  2. Find your RNSA room
  3. Click on the cogwheel icon of the room for Room settings
  4. Define the workstation type.
    To set up a workstation
    a. for SPs, select the name of the computer from the In-room Station drop-down;
    b. for learners, select the name of the computer from the
    Hallway Station drop-down.

    Learner RNSA Login only works with Hallway configuration, SP RNSA Login only works with In-room configuration.

    (tick) If needed, your computer can have multiple workstation functions at the same time. To apply multiple functionalities, select the same computer

  5. Once finished, click Save
    The system informs you at the top of the screen that your room settings are saved.

  • Make sure RNSA Login is set up (as explained above)
  • Open the activity of the room for editing in Activities
  • Select the 'Data entry only allowed from manually authorized workstations' checkbox on the Options tab of the Edit Activity pop up
