This page walks you through on how to allow video upload to specific running activities

for users with Learner privilege.

To allow learners to upload videos to the activities they are participating in: 

1. Select a running activity.

2. Open it for editing.
3. Go to the Options tab. 
4. Select the Learner checkbox under "Enable video upload for".
   
   

   By selecting the Learner checkbox on this tab, you grant the members of the activity's Learner group access to: 
   
   

5. A confirmation dialogue will open informing you about the several additional settings that will be automatically turned on in the Learners access pane in the Reports tab of the activity:

   • The "Enable report access for learners during the activity"

     along with the Video Review access option will be turned on in the Reports tab on the Learners access pane, allowing learners access to reports from the start to finish of the activity.
     (Learner access to activity reports is disabled by default.) every existing video recording of the activity in the Video Review module:

   With these settings, learners can upload videos to any case of the activity:

   The required Learner field is prefilled with the learner's name and cannot be modified.

   The required Activity drop-down only lists the activities that learners are allowed to upload to:

   • checkbox will be selected automatically.
     If any type of report is selected on the Learner access pane in the Report Access list, learners will have access to that particular type of report as long as the activity is running.
     
     

   • Upon allowing video upload to the activity:

     • the Video Review checkbox will be automatically selected and

     • every case of the activity will be selected as well on the Learner access pane:

   • Learners will have access to every existing video recording of themselves that are also assigned to the activities where learners have video upload permission.
     
     Learners can view their recordings in the Video Review module:

     Video downloading is not auto-selected upon turning on video upload. When selecting a recording in the Video Review module, the download icon will remain inactive. You can enable video downloading for learners on the Learner access pane in the Reports tab of the activity.

     
     

   • Learners can select the activities which they are a member of and where their privilege is enabled to upload videos. 
     Only the activities that fit these requirements will auto-populate in the Activity drop-down when trying to upload a video:

   • Learners will also be able to upload their videos to any case of the activity:

   Grant video downloading access to learners to allow them to review and download the videos that SPs or faculty upload for them.
