Recording on the Fly

Preliminary Setup

System Manager: The desired camera(s) and simulator have to be assigned to a specific room.

Process Flow

Entering the desired SRV via the CO:

  1. Click the intended room panel.
  2. Add participants via the Recording settings.
  3. Start the recording by clicking the REC button.
    TIP: Adjust camera feed if necessary. See link to Concepts
  4. Add annotations in the corresponding panel.
  5. Send intercom announcements or push content to connected monitors.
  6. Click the Stop button to end the recording.


Entering the desired SRV via the Dashboard:

  1. Click the cogwheel icon in the Recording tile on the Dashboard.
  2. In the Start Recording pop-up window, click the Room for recording radio-button and select the desired room from the drop-down.
  3. Add participant groups via the relevant tab of participants.
  4. Click the Go to recording button to enter the SRV of the selected room.
  5. Start the recording by clicking the REC button.

  6. Add annotations in the corresponding panel.
  7. Send intercom announcements or push content to connected monitors.
  8. Click the Stop button to end the recording.

Running a Scenario

Preliminary setup

System Manager: The desired camera(s) and simulator have to be assigned to the room where the scenario is to be run.

User Manager: The participant groups desired to be assigned include the intended users.

TIP: As a user can be assigned to many different groups, create groups that are specific to the scenario.

Learning Module: SCE intended for the scenario is built up.

Calendar: Event is scheduled, including defining the Simulation Design.


Process Flow

  1. Open the Start Recording pop-up window by clicking the cogwheel in bottom right corner of the Recording tile.
  2. Highlight the desired event in the Event for recording panel, then click the Go to recording button at the bottom of the pop-up window.
    NOTE: By default, the Event for recording panel is active, if not, click the radio-button.
  3. Add annotations on the corresponding tab.
  4. Send intercom announcements or push content to connected monitors.
  5. Complete Data Entry using the corresponding panel. See link to Concepts
    IMPORTANT: When scheduling an event, the start end end of recording can be set up within the Simulation Design. In that case, the recording will be started and stopped automatically. Any manual click done while in Recording view will override such pre-set scheduling.
