How to Control PTZ Cameras and Save Preset Positions

You can save the positions of the pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras installed in your simulation rooms.
PTZ presets can be set up in the live stream control panel of each PTZ camera.

Enter the Single Room View (SRV) of a room to access the live stream controls of the cameras located in the room.

Position Your Camera with PTZ Tools

Compared to the basic options of the live stream panel—located in the mini toolbar in the top-right corner—, PTZ cameras have additional functions.

• Tilt and pan the camera with the small arrows placed in the corners of the panel (marked by red squares in the image).
• Use the/  buttons of the scroll bar located on the right to zoom in and out.
• Keep up with sudden moves and position your camera towards crucial actions with a simple click.
  • Click the center of the orange camera target icon in and start dragging your cursor in any direction.
  • An arrow appears and shows the path your camera is following.
  • Let go of your cursor when you arrive at the desired position.
• While recording, change the center of your view with your cursor.
  Click an area you want to center, and your PTZ camera changes its view accordingly.
• Use the Zoom area option to take a quick close-up on crucial actions.
  • Click in the center of the area you want to zoom in, and start dragging your cursor.
  • An orange rectangle appears as the frame of your new field of view.
  • Let go of your cursor, and your PTZ camera zooms in.

Saving PTZ Presets

After adjusting the camera, save the current position as a PTZ preset to apply it in an instant afterwards:

• Click the Select PTZ Preset drop-down. 
• The formerly added positions appear in a list. 
  There is a mini search bar too in case of an extensive list of preset positions.
• Click Add new PTZ Preset.

An empty field appears in place of the drop-down.

• Enter the name of the preset.

• Click on the tick to save or 'x' to cancel the preset.
