IMPORTANT: Group Grading overwrites any data entry already submitted for an individual learner included in the group. That is, if a specific item of a given checklist has already been filled out for one or more individual learners who is/ are included in the group grading, clicking the Set them the same link acknowledges that the answer selected on the Group Grading tab will be set for each and every member of the group.

WARNING: If the Responses are final box is checked for the FON checklist for which the Group Grading is to be filled out, already submitted responses cannot be overwritten by the Group Grading. Consequently, different responses given for different learners cannot be made unanimous. Therefore, Group Grading in case of checklists for which responses are final is only possible if the group only includes:

  • learners without data entry submitted for their names and/ or
  • learners with unanimous data entry (i.e. the exact same responses to each and every item of the FON checklist) submitted for their names.

To complete Group Grading:

  1. Access the video review screen for the desired video.
NOTE: The Data Entry panel and, by extension, group grading are only available when the activity is running. If it is not, the system sends a warning message upon arriving to the selected video review screen.

If the activity is running but the Data Entry panel is not visible, select the Show/ Hide Data Entry icon in the Window layout settings window or click the Data Entry tab on the left edge of the screen.

The Data Entry panel appears on the left side of the recording window.

2. Click the Group Grading option at the top of the panel.

The panel switches to Group Grading view where, below the activity and case, all the learners of the group are listed.

3. Click the cogwheel in the top right corner of the panel to exclude learners by deselecting their name.

IMPORTANT: Answers selected within Group Grading will be the same for all the learners in the group (i.e. those selected).
NOTE: By default, all learners are selected, that is, their names are grayed.

4. When only the learners intended to be included in the group grading are selected, fill out the checklist(s).

NOTE: Use the scroll bar to advance within the checklist(s).

5. In case of already submitted data entry, click the Set answer the same link to make the response unanimous for all the learners included in the Group Grading.

6. When finished, click the Submit button at the bottom of the Data Entry panel.

The learners for whom the data entry has been successfully submitted will be listed in a green message field.
