In the Inventory Manager, all QR/Bar code is identified by #LS prefix. First of all, the QR/Bar code reader should be configured to add this prefix when reading a QR/Bar code.

This prefix configuration is needed for Inventory 2.6 and up to support QR-code and barcode scanning.

 #LS prefix for the Barcode to PC scanning application MUST be set in order for the devices to function correctly.

Important: Keyboard Settings

Make sure your keyboard layout is set to US English, otherwise, QR code and barcode scanning will not work properly inside the Inventory module.

  • Desktop application: search Barcode to PC Server
  • Mobile application: search Barcode to PC Server in Google Play or App Store
  1. Start the desktop application.
  2. Go to settings.


  3. Scroll to Output Settings.



  4. Select the Static Text label and drag it to the Output Template field.



  5. Click on the Static Text label to edit it.
  6. Enter #LS.



  7. Click Save (tick) in the popup to save your changes.
  8. The popup will close.
  9. Select the Barcode label and drag it to the Output Template field.
  10. Select the Enter label and drag it to the Output Template field.



  11. Click on Save & Apply in the top right corner. 

Your scanner is set up correctly for the Inventory module.
