Important Note for Enterprise Lite Users

This feature is to be used with in-campus audiovisual (AV) inputs. Hence, it is not available for LearningSpace Enterprise Lite, as the solution is used for web-conferencing based virtual simulation encounters only. To unlock this feature, please upgrade to the LearningSpace Enterprise solution.

The joystick can be connected via the USB plug at any time when PTZ control is needed. It is automatically detected upon plugging it into the computer.

In Single Room View, the first PTZ-camera will be selected for joystick-driven operation, and the connection is indicated by the header of the camera panel switching to yellow.

  1. Once the joystick is plugged in, check whether it has been detected by the system.
Press any of the keys on the joystick to facilitate detection.

2. Enter the Single Room View for the desired room.

NOTE: If none of the camera panels switches to yellow (as shown below), press any of the buttons on the joystick.

3. The joystick automatically detects the cameras in the room and switches from one to the next by the buttons (J1-J2-J3-J4).

If there is a fifth camera in a room, the L (left) button will be assigned to it.

IMPORTANT: The buttons are matched to the original order of the cameras; consequently, when the camera panels are rearranged in Single Room View, the buttons on the joystick will not match the new order.

Connect the PTZ Joystick when the layout is already arranged as desired.

4. Push the stick right or left to move it horizontally (panning).
For a vertical change of position (tilting), push it forward or pull it back.
Zooming in can be done by turning the knob right while turning it left prompts zooming out.

5. Press any other button on the joystick to adjust another PTZ camera.
