From the scores achieved for each section, i.e. from Section scores, and the weights set in the Case Manager (according to the importance of each section within a Case), the system generates a score for each Case:
the Case Total Score.
Case Total Score is the weighted average of the section scores of the Case. |
ss = section score of a learner, for each section of one particular Case
ws = section weight belonging to each section within the Case, defined in the Case Manager
n = number of sections in the Case
Example:
A Case contains an OS (Overall Satisfaction) section with the weight of 100 and a History section, weighed as 200 (no other sections are included).
A learner's OS section score is 67 % and his History section score is 85%.
In this Case the Case Total Score is: (100 * 67 + 200 * 85) / (100 + 200) = 79 %
The Case Total Score is calculated from the sections of the Case that have an above-zero maximum score. |

Case result can not only be calculated for one particular learner but also for a whole class. From the achieved Case Total Scores of the learners of each learner group, the system calculates an average score for each Case: the Class Case Average.
The Class Case Average is a percentage value: it is the sum of Case Total Scores divided by the number of the learners who have a record. |
cl = Case Total Score of each learner of the learner group of an activity, for one particular Case
n = number of learners of the learner group of the activity who have a record for the Case
