Annotations added are displayed in the Video Review in two ways:

  • indicated by markers (flags) over the timeline
  • listed in chronological order - with the most recent one listed at the top - in the Annotations panel

Annotations are color-coded with the flag icons having a color corresponding to the annotation listed in the panel, placed at the point on the timeline when the annotation was added.

The added annotations are listed with the exact time, the text and the learner(s) to whom the annotation refers.

IMPORTANT: By default, annotations are added with reference to all the assigned learners, that is, all the learners assigned via the Record Control panel are attached to a specific annotation.
To withdraw the reference of a specific annotation to a specific learner, click the red X in the field of their name.

Learners can see annotations of All learners by default, but can only annotate to peer learners if they are assigned to them. Other learners are displayed in an orange frame.

Adding Annotations during Video Review

While annotations added during live recording are displayed as described above, annotations can also be made during video review - by users with the necessary privilege.

The added annotation will be listed below the preset annotations with the exact time of the attachment and the learner's name, and it will also be marked color-coded on the time-line.

TIP: The learner's name can be removed by clicking the X next to it.

To add a Free Text annotation:

  1. Type the annotation in the bar at the top of the panel.
  2. Select Category and Color.
  3. Click the add annotation icon .
  4. Select or deselect learners whom the annotation should apply to.

Each added annotation will be listed below the preset annotations from hence on.
