Find every scenario you have captured with your CAE LearningSpace system in the Video Review module. 

The module lists every saved recording individually. A recording contains the footage of every installed camera, the waveform of any simulator, or the data of any medical device added to the room where the scenario was recorded. The system also saves the settings of  the Record control panel and annotations. 

The date of creation, length, and size (in MB) of a recording are always displayed. The system can draw further details about a recording—such as the room the recording was created in, the people included on the video, the related activity, case, and the scores of learners—provieded that the details have been set up in the Record control panel for the recording.

The SP and FON or Simulator column display can be enabled in the General tab of the System module with the following checkboxes:

  •  Show SP and FON names on video review
  •  

Click on a recording to open it for review: you will be redirected to the Room View of the recording.
The recording automatically launches and displays the streams of every camera that were used in the recording. You can also view the record control settings and annotations that were added during the real-time recording. 

Privileges to access Video Review:

Report Reviewer (full control)

  • Review any recording
  • Download any recording
    If multiple footeages are saved inside one recording, the user can download each video footage separately or in a bundle.
  • Print the Video Report of recordings of activities shared with the user or recordings unassigned to any activity
  • Upload data log
  • Upload recordings to the Central Server
  • Use the Record Control panel to assigning or modify the activity, case, add or remove learners or SPs subsequently to record creation
  • Adding annotation(s) to a recording (after recording)

Report Reviewer

  • Reviewing recordings of activities shared with the user 
  • Downloading recordings of activities shared with the user 
  • Adding annotation(s) to recordings of activities shared with the user 
IMPORTANT: A Report Reviewer has access only to recordings that are assigned to an activity where the user is member of the selected Faculty group. Moreover, although by default, access to recordings of a certain activity is granted to the Report Reviewer(s), but it can be withdrawn via the Report Reviewer access settings which results in the user not having access to the related videos.

FON Data Entry

  • Reviewing recordings of activities shared with the user (via Faculty group membership)
  • Complete Data Entry for activities shared with the user (via Faculty group membership)
  • Printing Video Report of recordings within activities shared with the user (via Faculty group membership)
  • Adding annotation(s) to a recording (after recording) shared with the user (via Faculty group membership)

Learner

  • Reviewing recordings about self (assigned via the Record Control)
  • Downloading recording about self (if access is granted via the Learner access options of the Reports tab of the Edit Activity pop-up)
  • Printing Video Report (data of recordings) for recordings about self (assigned via the Record Control)

SP

  • Reviewing recordings about self (assigned via the Record Control)
  • Printing Video Report (data of recordings) for recordings about self
  • Adding annotation(s) to recordings about self (assigned via the Record Control)

Admin ONLY features

While Admin users have unlimited access to all functions of the system, the following features are only available by Admin users, no other privilege can access them:

  • Deleting recordings 
  • Locking recordings


By default, recordings are listed by date, with the most recent one at the top. The list can be rearranged by clicking the column headers: according to Date, Room, Learner, SP, Faculty, Simulator, Score, Activity, Case, Transfer Status or Video Information.

NOTE: SPs are listed based on their assignment to a recording or if they submit data entry for a learner of the recording. If both apply to a specific SP, the SP's name will only be listed once. If multiple SP submit is allowed, all SPs submitting data entry will be listed. If it is not, then the SP with the most recent data entry will be displayed.


The Video Review module - depending on user privilege - allows for the following features:

  • search for and play specific recordings
  • save recordings by locking (only Admin)
  • print Video Report for selected recordings
  • check resource usage for specific recordings
  • upload recordings to the Central Server
  • upload data logs
  • download recordings of a room or a specific camera
  • assign activity, case and learners to recordings
  • add annotations to recordings or delete those already added
  • do Data Entry and Group Grading
