With the Get Placard feature, you can display the door note of the Activity currently running in the simulation room instead of printing the door note and placing it on the door.

IMPORTANT

The Get Placard feature is only available on an Additional Station. An Additional Station is for display purposes only. This station type is not intended for data entry or storing data logs.

To access the Get Placard feature:

  1. Make sure the computer or tablet you want to use can be set up as an Additional Station.

    1. Log in to LearningSpace on the device.
    2. Go to the Stations page in System.
    3. Check if the device is listed: its name should appear in bold, highlighted in light blue. Also, the Add This Computer button should be removed from the page.
      If the Add This Computer button is there, you need to add your device. Follow the steps described on the
      How to Manage Stations page.

    If you see that your device is listed – a row in the list appears in bold and is highlighted in light blue – continue with the next step.

  2. Once you are sure your device is added and can be set up as an Additional Station, assign it to a room of your choice, e.g., where a Running Non-Scheduled Activity (RNSA) is set up.
    You can find the steps at How to Assign a Station to a Room.

  3. Sing out and go back to the Login page.
    You will see that there is a Get Placard link under the login button. 
  4. Click on the link to display the placard on your device.

The placard displays:

  • the title of the Activity
  • the name(s) of current and, where applicable, upcoming learners
  • the title of the Case running in the room
  • the door note of the Case as entered into the 'Detailed Case description' field of the Case (inside Edit Case)
  • the placard also shows whether or not a recording is in progress
