The Record Control panel is located on the left of Single Room View (SRV).

Without custom layout settings, the Record control panel is open by default when entering SRV. Click the Hide panel arrowon the panel to minimize.

Functions of Record control:

  • assigning an Activity
  • selecting a Case
  • selecting a Learner group
  • assigning Learner(s) or the entire group
  • assigning SPs to the selected Learner(s)

Additional features

Click the cogwheel on Record control. The panel will reveal further options:

a. No recording in progress

If there are several cameras installed in a room, you can determine which one(s) should record before starting the recording.

By default, every camera is allowed to record on SRV; each camera will have their checkbox ticked the first time you check.

To disable the recording function of a camera, untick its checkbox.

The system notifies you about the successful changes at the top of the screen:

You can still observe the live stream on cameras that are not recording.

b. Recording in progress

Uninterrupted recording can only last up to 3 hours.
Once this limit is reached, the recording stops automatically and the video is saved to Video Review

Continue recording once option:

The option becomes active after the recording has been started.

LearningSpace can automatically relaunch a recording once after 3 hours of continuous recording has been exceeded.

If you would like to run recordings in multiple rooms throughout most of the day without having to check on them, for example, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., select Continue recording once in each room where you would like to double the default maximum recording time.
The system will relaunch the recording for another 3 hours after the first time-out.

The system notifies you about the successful request:
