Video Review Module

Find every scenario you have captured with your CAE LearningSpace system in the Video Review module. 

Image Added

The module lists every saved recording individually. A recording contains

  • the footage of every installed camera,
  • the waveform of any simulator, or
  • the data of any medical device added to the room where the scenario was recorded.
  • The system also saves the settings of the Record control panel and annotations. 

Image Modified

The date of creation, length, and size (in MB) of a recording is always displayed.
The system can draw further details about a recording from its Record control panel settings—such as as

  •  the room the recording was created in,
  • the people included in the video,
  • the related
activity
  • Activity,
case—and
  • Case
  • and even the cumulative scores of learners' existing data entry.

Locked videos Image Modified

Video recordings can be locked by Admin users with the help of the lock icon at the bottom of the page.

Locked videos cannot be deleted manually or by the system during the automatic video delete process - after 30/60/90 days, as set on the General tab of the System manager:

Tip

Locked videos can be unlocked by selecting the recording and using the lock icon again.

SP/Faculty/Simulator display

The SP and Faculty (FON) or Simulator column display can be enabled in the General tab of the System module with the following checkboxes General Settings Checkboxes:

  •  Show SP and FON names on video review
  •

Single Room View 

  1. Click on a recording to open it for review: you will be redirected to the(Single) Room View of the recording.
  2. The recording automatically launches and displays the streams of every camera that was used in the recording.
  3. You can also view the
record control settings and annotations
  1. Recording setup (Information panel)and Annotations that were added during the real-time recording.

Only Admin users can:


Delete a selected recording.

Lock a selected recording or

Unlock a recording if the recording is locked already.

View the resource usage of selected recordings.

 Upload videos recorded outside the central management system.

Other features are available to users without Admin privilege.
User access to certain features depends on the user's privileges Privileges:

 Print  Print the detailed report of the selected recording(s).

Upload data logs of simulators or other medical devices to the selected recording(s).

Download a selected video recording. 
(info) The  The button is inactive until a recording is selected. The button becomes inactive again if more than one recording is selected: only one recording can be downloaded at a time, but you can download it as a zip file.

Report Reviewer (full control)

  • Access

    activity

  • Search by keywords, use column filters and can extend the keyword search to event logs and annotations
  • Use the Record Control panel to assigning or modify the activityActivity/case Case or add/remove learners or SPs subsequently to the record creation
  • Add titles to recordings they are assigned to in an Activity
  • Add annotation(s) to a selected recording subsequently to the creation of the recording
  • Print the Video Report of the available recordings
  • Download available recordings
    If multiple footages are saved inside one recording, the user can download each video footage separately or in a bundle.
  • Upload data logs to a selected recording
  • Upload recordings to the Central Server

Report Reviewer

  • Access the recordings of activities Activities where the user is added as facultyFaculty
    (warning) Activity Activity Assignment settings apply to this user and affect which learner recording the report reviewer has access to. Manage the settings of the activityActivity's evaluator-evaluee subgroups to modify this user's access to recordings.
  • Search by keywords, use column filters and can extend the keyword search to event logs and annotations
  • Print the Video Report of the available recordings
  • Download available recordings
    If multiple footages are saved inside one recording, the user can download each video footage separately or in a bundle.
  • Add annotation(s) to a selected recording subsequently to the creation of the recording

Activity report access for faculty Faculty users holding Reports related privileges can be fine-tuned within the Reports tab of an activityActivity.
By default, report Report reviewer faculty Faculty members have access to every recording of the activity—unless Activity—unless Assignment settings apply—and are also enabled to download any available recording.

In the Report Reviewer access settings tab tab, the report Report reviewer faculty Faculty members can be restricted to access only the audio of learner recordings or completely denied access to the recordings of the entire activityActivity. Report reviewer users can also be restrained from downloading the recordings of the activityActivity.

FON Data Entry

  • Access the recordings of activities Activities where the user is added as facultyFaculty
  • Complete Data Entry for activities Activities shared with the user 
    (warning) Activity Activity Assignment settings apply to this user and affect which learner the FON user has access to view the learner's recording and submit her FON checklist.
    Manage the settings of the activityActivity's evaluator-evaluee subgroups to modify this user's access to learner data entry.
  • Print the Video Report of the available recordings
  • Add annotation(s) to a selected recording subsequently to the creation of the recording

Learner

  • Review recordings about themselves
    (warning) Only if the learner is assigned to the recording via the Record control panel and access to Video Review is granted for learners in the Learner access tab of the Reportstab of the activityActivity.
    By default, the access options to reports and video review are not enabled for learners when a new activity Activity is created:

  • Download recordings about themselves
    If recording download is granted for the learners of the activity Activity in the Learner access tab of the Reports tab of the activityActivity
  • Print the Video Report of the recordings about themselves

SP

  • Review recordings about themselves
    (warning) If the SP is assigned to the recording via the Record control panel
  • Print the Video Report of the recordings about themselves
  • Add annotations to recordings about themselves


Note

SPs' names appear on a recording if the SPs are either assigned manually or automatically—by Scheduling—to the recording or after they submit data entry for a learner featured on the recording.

  • If the SP who portrays the case Case is different from the SP who submits the SP checklist, both names will be included on the recording in List View.
    Entering the Room View of the recording, only the SP who was assigned manually by the Record control panel or automatically by Scheduling will be included.
  • If the SP portraying the case Case is the same who submits the SP checklist of a learner, the name of the SP is included only once on the recording.
  • If multiple SP submit is allowed, all SPs who submitted the checklist will be listed. 
  • If multiple SP submit is not allowed, then the SP who submitted the most recently will be displayed.

(warning) IMPORTANT: An SP who only submitted the SP checklist of the learner featured on the recording—and was not added to the recording with the Record control panel— will not have access to view the recording of the learner.
